Your privacy is important to us. This Personal Data Protection Policy sets out how SoulDigest comply with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection (“PDPA”).

Subject to your legal rights in Malaysia, the prevailing terms of the Personal Data Protection Policy shall apply. 

This Personal Data Protection Policy forms a part of the terms and conditions governing your relationship with us and should be read in conjunction with such terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). In the event of any inconsistency between the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Policy and the Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

4. Marketing/ Optional Purposes

If you would like to withdraw your consent to us sending you Marketing Materials, you may withdraw your consent at any time by informing us through the unsubscribe options through applicable electronic channels or email us at [email protected]. We will remove your details from our direct marketing database within one (1) month from the date of receipt of your consent withdrawal request.
  2.    Please note that notwithstanding the withdrawal or withholding of your consent to us sending you Marketing Materials, we may still send you non-marketing messages such as surveys, customer-service notices and other service related notices.

10. Withdrawal of Consent

  2.    Please note that if you withdraw your consent to any or all use or disclosure of your Personal Data, depending on the nature of your request, we may no longer be in a position to continue to provide membership benefits and services to you.
  3.    Such a withdrawal may therefore result in the termination of any membership that you may have with us.

11. Access and Correction of your Personal Data

  1. You may request access to or make corrections to your Personal Data records, but SoulDigest has the right to charge a reasonable fee for processing your request for access.

  4. SoulDigest will respond to an access request as soon as reasonably possible from the time the access request is received. If SoulDigest is unable to respond to the request within 30 calendar days after receiving the request, SoulDigest shall inform the requestor in writing within 30 days of the time by which SoulDigest will be able to respond to the request.
  5.  Before responding to an access request and/or correction request, SoulDigest shall exercise due diligence and adopt appropriate measures to verify the identity of the individual’s request. SoulDigest may ask questions or obtain documentary evidence from the individual in order to verify his/her identity.

12. Retention of your personal data

  1. We will retain your Personal Data for as long as they are required to fulfil the purposes mentioned above, or as required by applicable laws.

13. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

14. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
